Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant.
To honor the never-ending number 3.14159… The STEM, (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) committee will host a very special Pi event. We will celebrate Francophone style, with slices of pizza pie. Please support the fundraising portion of this event, by purchasing a slice of pizza for 3 dollars and 14 cents (please feel free to round UP).
A “Pi” table will be in THE TENT at 1:00 pm during afternoon pick up. Take pizza to go or stick around for a special reading of Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi (A Math Adventure). The tables will also provide free fun Pi math activity sheets for FCSO students. All funds raised, go back to helping the school!
