An extension of the school day serving 240 families — with before care, after care, and enrichment activities that keep the Francophone spirit going all afternoon.
The BASC program at Francophone Charter School is an extension of the regular school day — offering enrichment activities like cooking, mindfulness, writing, soccer, chess, judo, and much more. Every day, students are given the opportunity to make connections with their classmates through creative learning.
Families pay a monthly fee. Students who qualify for free and reduced lunch attend for free. The program fills quickly — register early.
Students will be signed into Before Care upon arrival. After sign-in, they may finish breakfast, read, play games, complete homework, or socialize.

BASC assumes responsibility for all students on campus from school dismissal until 6 PM. Every student is signed in by BASC staff. Students must abide by all school principles and guidelines.
To ensure safety and accountability, all students must be enrolled in BASC. Children may only be signed out by the parent or an authorized adult designated in writing through KangarooTime.
All students receive a snack at the start of program. BASC provides nut-free snacks and a fruit or vegetable for each student. Students may bring their own healthy, no-nut, low-sugar snacks but may not share them.
Students choose from a variety of activities each day: study hall, game room, reading, art projects, and organized indoor and outdoor games. Optional enrichment classes run by outside vendors are available for an additional fee.
The BASC application for 2026–2027 is open. The deadline is May 30th and the application fee is $25. The program fills up quickly — register as soon as possible.
