Every child deserves to thrive. Francophone is committed to an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all students — with the services, accommodations, and care they need.

Our Commitment

Inclusive Education for Every Learner

Francophone Charter School of Oakland is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. We work to identify, evaluate, and support students with disabilities to ensure they receive the services and accommodations they need to thrive.

—— Child Find & Referrals

Identifying & Supporting Students

Pursuant to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act and relevant state law, Francophone Charter School of Oakland is responsible for identifying, locating, and evaluating children with known or suspected disabilities to determine whether a need for special education and related services exists. This includes children who are homeless or wards of the State.

Making a Referral

If you have a child who has a disability or that you suspect may have a disability, you may refer that child’s parent or guardian to Francophone Charter School of Oakland by contacting:

Minda Glynn
Director of Student Support
mglynn@francophoneschool.org

All referrals are considered confidential. The parent, legal guardian, or surrogate parent retains the right to refuse services and other procedural safeguards under federal and state law.

—— SELPA Resources

Important Resources

The BASC program at Francophone Charter School is an extension of the regular school day — offering enrichment activities like cooking, mindfulness, writing, soccer, chess, judo, and much more.
